Things to Look For

 

  • Machine Not Coming On

 

 

  • Check Mains Supply to machine
  • Check if the Power Supply Unit is ON, this is indicated by the green status LED also check If working the Amp and Monitors come on 
  • Check power is going to the PC
  • If power is OK, press the On Button located on the front of the PC
  • The on Button does not come on – faulty PC
  • The on button comes on after pressing – remove the green dongle and replace the bios battery and set up bios and refer to the Storm Technical Page Dell 9020 USFF PC - Bios Settings : Storm Gaming Technology (freshdesk.com)
  • PC comes on then turns itself off when it gets near Windows, again refer to the Storm Technical Page Dell 9020 USFF PC - Bios Settings : Storm Gaming Technology (freshdesk.com)
  • PC comes on but you can hear a bleeping from PC – Faulty Ram or not fitted correctly
  • Machine Comes ON – But stops on Launcher Page or says Dongle missing

 

 

 

 

  • Machine Comes ON – But stops on Storm Page (Lotto Product)

 

  • Check there is power going to your printer and the USB lead from the PC to the Printer is fully pushed in.
  • Check the printer is loaded with tickets and the tickets are put in the correct way.
  • Make sure the Epic 950 Printer has the Firmware : U00422 and the USB Firmware PU9502-3.01
  • Machine Comes ON – But comes up with I/O Board error or A Box says Windows is Shutting Down 

 

  • If the machine comes up I/O board error or gets to the Storm screen and says Windows is Shutting Down, this is an issue relating to the PC not seeing the Paylink 
  • Check the Power Supply unit is fully working.
  • Check there is 12v going to your Paylink Board and the USB lead from the PC to the Paylink is fully pushed in.
  • Make sure the Paylink USB lead is going into the correct socket on the Dell PC  and the LED on the Paylink is green Dell 9020 USFF PC Connections : Storm Gaming Technology (freshdesk.com)
  • Machine Comes ON – But stops on Storm Page (Cat C / B4 Product)

 

  • Check there is 12v going to your Paylink Board and the USB lead from the PC to the Paylink is fully pushed in
  • Make sure the Paylink USB lead is going into the correct socket on the Dell PC Dell 9020 USFF PC Connections : Storm Gaming Technology (freshdesk.com)
  • Disconnect the CC Talk plug located at the bottom of the Paylink board, then reboot the machine. If the machine boots fully into game, then one of the coin handling peripherals is dragging the CC Talk down. Plug CC Talk back into Paylink then disconnect each peripheral and reboot

 

 

Fault

Things to Look For

 

  • Machine Comes ON – But one of the monitors fails to come on or displays wrong screen resolution

 

 

  • Check power to the monitor is OK
  • Check the VGA lead is plugged into the Monitor and into the VGA Port / Display port Adapter at the PC end
  • Turn OFF the machine, swap the VGA leads over on the VGA to Display Port Lead – If the issue swaps screens this could be a faulty VGA to Display Port Lead or check the display settings in Control Panel and refer to the Storm Technical Page Dell 9020 USFF PC Cirrus Cab - Changing Screen Resolution to 1024 x 768 : Storm Gaming Technology (freshdesk.com)
  • When checking these setting please make sure Monitor 1 is the Primary Monitor and has the Extend these displays and Monitor 2 has Extend these displays, but the Make this my Main Monitor is UNTICKED
  • If the fault stays on the same monitor, the monitor is faulty
  • Machine Comes ON – But Touch Screen is unresponsive

 

  • Machine Pass Codes – Back Office

 

  • The code to gain access to the full Back Office – 000071 then OK
  • Machine Pass Codes – Change Categories (Cat C / B4)

 

  • The code to change between categories on a Cat C B4 machine – STORM then OK

 

 

 

                                             

  • Machine Pass Codes – Reset Lotteries (Cat B3A Lotto)

 

  • The reset the lotteries, press the reset lotteries box on the machine – STORM then OK


Fault

Things to Look For

  • Coin Mech – Not Accepting or Poor Acceptance
  • Turn Off machine and clean inside the Coin Mech
  • Check power to Coin Mech & CC Talk Line back to the Paylink
  • Make sure the Coin Mech is programmed to CC Talk NON DES
  • If in the Back Office engineers page, it says Coin Mech OK but still doesn’t accept or poor acceptance – faulty Coin Mech
  • Note Accepter – Not Accepting or Poor Acceptance
  • Turn Off machine and clean inside the Note Accepter
  • Check power to Note Accepter & Loom back to the Paylink
  • Make sure the Ardac Note Accepter is programmed to ID003 Protocol (Megaways Lotto)
  • If the Ardac Elite Note Accepter does not initialize but the green LED is on the accepter head, this indicates that the Paylink Board is faulty.
  • If in the Back-Office engineers page, it says Note Accepter OK but still does not accept or poor acceptance – faulty Note Accepter
  • Printer – Not Printing Out (Epic 950)
  • Check Power to Printer
  • Check the USB Lead is plugged in securely at the printer end and the USB is going to the correct slot on the PC, Please see Storm Technical website page Dell 9020 USFF PC Connections : Storm Gaming Technology (freshdesk.com)
  • Make sure the tickets are loaded and inserted into the printer the correct way.
  • Make sure the Epic 950 Printer has the Firmware : U00422 and the USB Firmware PU9502-3.01
  • Check if the Epic 950 Printer prints out in the Audit Receipt page, If it doesn’t print out, faulty Epic 950 printer but change the printer and the metal cradle that it sits in.

 

  • Game Mode – Just saying Loading
  • When in game mode and you select a game, then it just sits there saying loading – Check all doors are closed. 
  • If all doors are closed make sure the door switches are making and the wires are on the correct door switch terminals
  • Also check the connections going into the Switches 1 & Switches 2 on the Paylink
  • Game Mode – Coming up with an error once selecting a game
  • Check both monitors are both ON and displaying the correct images on both screens (EG Monitor 1 image not duplicated on to Monitor 2)
  • Make sure Amp is On and wired into the Dell 9020 PC via a jack lead and all speaker outputs are connected.
