Dell 9020 USFF PC Cirrus Cab – Changing Screen Resolution to 1024 x 768

Before attempting, please ensure that you have a USB Keyboard and USB Mouse present, and your touchscreen is fully functional.

  • Open the bottom door where the PC is seated and insert the USB Keyboard into one of the available USB slots - located on the front of the Dell 9020 PC 
  • Pull the door switch out so the machine thinks the door is closed
  • Power on the machine
  • Allow the machine to boot up fully into game with all doors shut
  • Press Ctrl, Alt and Delete on your USB Keyboard
  • The following list will now appear on your screen
    1. Lock this Computer
    2. Switch User
    3. Log Off
    4. Change Password
    5. Start Task Manager
  • Press Start Task Manager on the touch screen (Alt and T on your keyboard)
  • Task Manager will now open and from the list on the Processes page, using the touch screen, hi light KaneBT.Taskbar then press End Process located at the bottom right-hand side of the Task Manager page.
  • A page will now appear asking if you want end KaneBT.Taskbar press End Process to confirm (Enter on the keyboard)
  • Next hi light kidkeylock.exe*32 and then  press End Process on the screen.
  • A page will now appear asking if you want end kidkeylock.exe*32 press End Process to confirm (Enter on the keyboard)
  • Repeat the same process again but now hi light Typhoon.exe*32 and then press End Process on the screen.
  • A page will now appear asking if you want end Typhoon.exe*32 press End Process to confirm (Enter on the keyboard)
  • Next hi light Node.exe and then  press End Process on the screen.
  • A page will now appear asking if you want end Node.exe press End Process to confirm (Enter on the keyboard)
  • Next hi light Miniweb.exe and then  press End Process on the screen.
  • A page will now appear asking if you want end Miniweb.exe press End Process to confirm (Enter on the keyboard)
  • Finally, hi light Html5form.exe and then  press End Process on the screen.
  • A page will now appear asking if you want end Html5form.exe press End Process to confirm (Enter on the keyboard)
  • Next you will need to close the Task Manager page, this is done press pressing the Alt and F4  keys on your keyboard
  • This will now leave the Storm splash screens on both top and bottom monitors
  • Press Ctrl and Esc on your keyboard the following should appear on your screen (this may take several attempts)
    1. All Programs
    2. Computer
    3. Control Panel
    4. Restart
  • You need to select Control Panel, this is done by using the touch screen or pressing the Tab key on your keyboard until you get to Computer and then using your arrow keys to go down to Control Panel then press Enter
  • Once Control Panel is hi lighted press Enter on your keyboard to confirm
  • The Control Panel page will now appear on your bottom monitor
  • Using your arrow keys on your keyboard navigate to the Display tile 
  • Once the Display tile has a black dotted line around it press Enter on the keyboard
  • This will now take you into the Display page
  • Once on this page keep pressing Tab key until you get a black dotted line around Adjust Resolution, which is located on the left-hand side of the page
  • Now press the Enter key on your keyboard, this will bring up the Change your appearance of the displays screen
  • The screen will display both monitors 1 and 2 along with various settings
  • Monitor 1 settings will be first
  • Press Alt and R on your keyboard, this will bring up the screen resolution of Monitor 1
  • Using the arrow up and down keys select the resolution of 1024 x 768 then press Enter on your keyboard to confirm.
  • Now press Alt and A on your keyboard to apply the changes
  • A Windows pop up screen appears asking if you want to keep these changes, Press Alt and K on the keyboard to confirm that you want to keep the changes
  • To check Monitor 2, keep pressing the Tab key until you get a black dotted line around in the box marked Display box
  • Press the Arrow Down key on your keyboard, this will bring up the settings for Monitor 2
  • Press Alt and R on your keyboard, this will bring up the screen resolution of Monitor 2
  • Using the arrow up and down keys select the resolution of 1024 x 768 then press Enter on your keyboard to confirm.
  • Now press Alt and A on your keyboard to apply the changes
  • A Windows pop up screen appears asking if you want to keep these changes, Press Alt and K on the keyboard to confirm that you want to keep the changes.
  • If the screen resolution is set correctly to 1024 x 768 on both monitors do not fill the screen fully, select the Advanced settings over towards the right-hand side of the page.
  • This will bring up the Generic PNP Monitors and Intel HD Graphics Properties page.
  • Now select the Intel HD Graphics Control Panel tab
  • This will open the tab where you will have the following options.
    1. Digital Display 
    2. Refresh Rate
    3. Rotation
    4. Scaling
  • Now press the down arrow on the Scaling Line, this will give you the following options.
    1. Maintain Display Scaling
    2. Maintain Aspect Ratio
    3. Center Image
    4. Scale Full Screen
    5. Custom Aspect Ratio
  • You need to select Scale Full Screen, then press the Apply button on the bottom right of the page.
  • If the top monitor is also out from the following list 
    1. Digital Display 
    2. Refresh Rate
    3. Rotation
    4. Scaling
  • Press the down arrow where it says Digital Display this will give you a drop-down box with the following options.
    1. Digital Display
    2. Monitor
  • You will need to select Monitor, this will take you on to the top screen settings.
  • Now press the down arrow on the Scaling Line, this will give you the following options.
    1. Maintain Display Scaling
    2. Maintain Aspect Ratio
    3. Center Image
    4. Scale Full Screen
    5. Custom Aspect Ratio
  • You need to select Scale Full Screen, then press the Apply button on the bottom right of the page.
  • Once this is done and both screens are set up press the OK button on the Generic PNP Monitors and Intel HD Graphics Properties page.
  • You will now need to close the Display Settings window. This is done by press Alt and F4 on your keyboard
  • This will now leave the Storm splash screens on both top and bottom monitors.
  • Press Ctrl and Esc on your keyboard the following should appear on your screen.
    1. All Programs
    2. Computer
    3. Control Panel
    4. Restart
  • You need to select Restart, this is done by pressing the Tab key on your keyboard until you get to Restart, press Enter on your keyboard to confirm or alternatively pressing the touch screen
  • The PC will now start to shut down and restart
  • Now remove the USB Keyboard
