Dell 780 PC – Changing Date & Time Settings

Before attempting, please ensure that you have a USB Keyboard present and your touchscreen is fully functional.

  • Open the door where the PC is seated and insert the USB Keyboard into one of the available USB slots - located on the Dell 780 PC 
  • Close the door so it is resting against the machine
  • Power on the machine
  • Allow the machine to boot up fully into game with all doors shut
  • REMOVE THE GREEN DONGLE BEFORE CHANGING ANY SETTINGS
  • Press Ctrl, Alt and Delete on your USB Keyboard
  • The following list will now appear on your screen
    1. Lock this Computer
    2. Switch User
    3. Log Off
    4. Change Password
    5. Start Task Manager
  • Press Start Task Manager on the touch screen (Alt and T on your keyboard)
  • Task Manager will now open and from the list on the Processes page, using the arrow keys to scroll up and down the list, hi light Typhoon.exe then press End Process (Alt and E on the keyboard)
  • A page will not appear asking if you want end Typhoon.exe*32 press End Process to confirm (Enter on the keyboard)
  • Next you will need to close the Task Manager page, this is done press pressing the Red X on the top right corner (Alt and F4  keys on your keyboard)
  • This will now leave the Storm splash screens on both top and bottom monitors
  • Press Ctrl and Esc on your keyboard the following should appear on your screen
    1. All Programs
    2. Control Panel
    3. Log Off
    4. Restart
  • You need to select Control Panel, this is done by using the touch screen or pressing the Tab key on your keyboard until you get to Computer and then using your arrow keys to go down to Control Panel then press Enter
  • Once Control Panel is hi lighted press Enter on your keyboard to confirm
  • The Control Panel page will now appear on your bottom monitor
  • By pressing the touch screen or using your arrow keys on your keyboard navigate to the Date & Time (Press Enter to gain access if using the keyboard)
  • Now check your date and time is correct
  • If the date and time is incorrect, either press the Change date & time on the screen or on the keyboard press Alt and D
  • This will now bring the Date and Time Settings pop up
  •  First off check the month and the year is correct, if this is wrong using the touch screen click on the arrows left and right to change the month and year
  • Next press on the touch screen the date you require
  • Once the date has been set, press the Tab key on the keyboard to move over to the time, this will go to the hours first
  • By using the arrows up and down on the keyboard select the hour you require, this is done in a 24-hour format
  •  Now press the Tab key again to move over to setting the minutes, again by using the arrows up and down on the keyboard select the minutes you require
  • The time and date have now been set, press the OK button on the screen
  • This will exit back to the Date and Time screen, if the Apply button is hi lighted press it (Alt and A on the keyboard if needed) then press the OK button on screen
  • You will now go back into the main Control Panel, now press the red X in the top right corner to close Control Panel
  • NOW REFIT YOUR GREEN DONGLE AND WAIT 10 SECONDS
  • Press Ctrl and Esc on your keyboard the following should appear on your screen
    1. All Programs
    2. Control Panel
    3. Log Off
    4. Restart
  • You need to select Restart, this is done by pressing the touch screen or using the Tab key on your keyboard until you get to Restart, press Enter on your keyboard to confirm
  • The PC will now start to shut down and restart
  • Now remove the USB Keyboard
