Quixant Qxi 200 PC Bios Settings

Please ensure the green dongle is NOT inserted into any of the USB slots on the PC

(This will corrupt your dongle if it is still in when you change the date and time)

Insert a USB keyboard bottom of the pc and apply power to the pc, when the American Megatrends screen appears Press F2 to enter bios settings (if you don’t do it quickly enough it will boot to windows) , once in the bios you will see a list of categories on the top of screen.

  • If a pop-up box appears when you first go into the Bios setting screen asking if you want to load the previous values, arrow right on your keyboard till you reach No the press Enter.
  • Main
  • The date in the bios is in the American format so it will be the month first followed by the day and then the year
  • Using the arrow keys on your keyboard arrow down the page till you reach System Date
  • Now enter the month in a numbers format (eg April is 04)
  • Once the month is set press the Tab key to go across to the date and then type in the day
  • Then press the Tab key once more to navigate across to the year
  • With the date now been set press the arrow down key on you keyboard to get to System Time
  • When on System Time type in the hour (This is a 24-hour format)
  • Press the Tab key and this will take you across to the minutes section, now type in the minutes
  • Using the arrow right key on your keyboard, keep pressing until you get to the Boot page

 

  • Boot
  • Arrow down the Boot page until you reach the section that says Fast Boot
  • Currently this is set to Disabled, press Enter on your keyboard
  • A pop-up box will now appear, press the arrow down key till you get to Enabled then press Enter to confirm
  • This will now bring up the following options below the Fast Boot section
    1. Skip VGA             (Disabled)
    2. Skip USB              (Disabled)
    3. Skip PS2               (Disabled)
  • Arrow Down to Skip USB and press Enter on your keyboard
  • A pop-up box will now appear, press the arrow down key till you get to Enabled then press Enter to confirm
  • Using the arrow down key, move down the page until you get to the Set Boot Priority Section

 

  • Set Boot Priority
  • We have a list of 8 possible boot devices, please make sure your 1St Boot Device is set to Hard Disk : Kingston
  • This is done by arrowing down to 1st Boot and then pressing Enter on your keyboard, the following pop up list will appear on your screen
    1. CD / DVD
    2. Hard Disk: Kingston
    3. USB Floppy
    4. USB CD / DVD
    5. USB Hard Disk
    6. USB Key
    7. Network
    8. UEFI
    9. Disabled
  • On your keyboard, using the arrows up and down navigate to Hard Disk Kingston and press Enter on your keyboard to confirm your selection
  • Now arrow down to the 2nd Boot Device and press Enter on your keyboard, the pop-up box will reappear.
  • From the list now select the Disabled option and press Enter to confirm
  • Repeat this process for the remaining other boot devices so the boot priority list will look like below
    1. 1st Boot                (Hard Disc : Kingston)
    2. 2nd Boot               (Disabled)
    3. 3rd Boot               (Disabled)
    4. 4th Boot               (Disabled)
    5. 5th Boot               (Disabled)
    6. 6th Boot               (Disabled)
    7. 7th Boot               (Disabled)
    8. 8th Boot               (Disabled)

 

  • Now using the arrow right key navigate across to the Save & Exit page
  • Save & Exit Page
  • Using the arrow up & down keys, select the option Save Changes and Exit, now press Enter to confirm
  • A pop-up box will now appear asking if you want to Save Configuration and Exit, hi light Yes and press Enter
  • This will now exit Windows and start Windows
  • Remove USB Keyboard
