Please ensure the green dongle is NOT inserted into any of the USB slots on the PC

(This will corrupt your dongle if it is still in when you change the date and time)

 

Insert a USB keyboard and Mouse in the front of the pc and apply power to the pc, when the blue DELL logo appears Press F2 to enter bios settings (if you don’t do it quickly enough it will boot to windows) , once in the bios you will see a list of categories on the left of screen.

  • General
    1. Date & Time – Using the USB Mouse navigate through the tabs to enter the correct date and time. Please note this is a 12 Hours clock so AM and PM must be set
    2. Boot Sequence – Kingston Drive needs to be ticked all the others need to be unticked. Then press on Apply with your Mouse to confirm
  • Drives
    1. Press the Red Plus sign at the side of Drives to expand the listings below
    2. Diskette Drive With your Mouse select Disable then Apply the setting
    3. SATA Operation – Select RAID Autodetect / ATA
      • Warning Box will now appear press YES and then Apply
  • System Configuration
    1. Press the Red Plus sign at the side of System Configuration to expand the listings below
    2. USB Controller – No Boot then Apply
  • Power Management
    1. Press the Red Plus sign at the side of Power Management to expand the listings below
    2. AC Recovery – Select Power On then Apply
    3. Fan Control Override – Make sure that the box is ticked then press Apply
  • Post Behaviour
    1. Press the Red Plus sign at the side of Post Behaviour to expand the listings below
    2. Keyboard Errors – Untick the Enable the Keyboard Error detection Box, then press Apply

Once you have worked your way through the Bios settings, please return to the General section and under Boot Sequence please make sure Onboard SATA Hard Drive & Kingston are BOTH ticked then select Apply to confirm changes.

Now with your USB Mouse please select Exit.
